About Me

I can easily compare "about me" sections to writing your own resume or creating a social media profile. It's just, awkward. Where do you start? What do you say?

Here goes...

My name is Stephanie. Everyone just calls me Stephanie. Except for my husband, he calls me Steph. It's weird how I have a long name that almost no one seems to shorten. Speaking of my husband, his name is Rob. We got married on June 13, 2008 and my name went from 5 letters and English to 11 letters and Polish. Yikes. The wedding went off without a hitch, and though we are all good and gushing about the good things, our marriage has had plenty of them. But it's still perfect. It's everything I dreamed of. It's love.

I'm a teacher by trade. Math teacher to be exact. I come with a long history of nerdy jobs. Rob and I met when we worked at the library together and I got to spend 2 years teaching budding teenagers all about algebra. It was my dream job. Until I discovered my real dream job.

We welcomed our precious gift, Evelyn June, into the world on June 30, 2011. We didn't come by her easily but God's timing is, as always, oh-so-perfect. After praying through infertility treatments for nearly a year, we discovered we were pregnant in October 2010.

After a little blogging hiatus, I returned after I realized the invaluable opportunity I had to record these precious moments of her childhood and thought the announcement of our second "surprise" pregnancy would be a great place to start. We're expecting this new little one sometime around March 11, 2013!

I've learned a lot about myself over the past several years. I've become quite the hippie and am hoping to share my journey of cloth diapers, babywearing, breastfeeding, natural birthing, homemade cleaner-making fun with you in the future. Maybe I can be helpful to someone.

More than anything though, my life is a blessing. It's an adventure - ever changing, always exciting - and filled with love. Pure and simple.
